The video illustrates how <strong>coordinated regional action<\/strong> can contribute to Europe\u2019s broader <strong>energy transition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Located in north-west Spain, <strong>Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong> combines strong industrial roots with vast renewable energy potential. The Castilla y Le\u00f3n Hydrogen Valley project brings together public and private partners across a <strong>network of pilot sites<\/strong> to develop a fully <strong>integrated green hydrogen ecosystem<\/strong>, covering production, storage, distribution and end use.<\/p>\n<p>Once fully operational, the initiative is expected to produce over <strong>19,000 tonnes of renewable hydrogen<\/strong> annually, reduce up to 152,000 tonnes of CO\u2082 emissions, and support more than 2,000 new jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Across Europe, several defining challenges are shaping the transition to climate neutrality: reducing dependence on fossil fuels, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, and building a resilient, low-carbon energy system capable of supporting industry, mobility and local communities. Addressing these challenges will require not only new technologies but also scalable, <strong>region-driven solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green hydrogen<\/strong> is increasingly recognised as a key part of this transition.
