Women powering hydrogen innovation
As International Women in Engineering Day approaches on 23 June, CyLH2 Valley celebrates the women helping build a more sustainable energy future.
Building the foundations for regional hydrogen deployment
A wide range of infrastructures will be developed, including a 10 MW PEM electrolyzer powered by an 18.75 MWp solar PV plant, a control building, multiple hydrogen storage systems with fiberglass tanks and buffer units, compression stations with built-in redundancy, and a dispatch area. The hydrogen – up to 1,600 tonnes/year – will be used for industrial processes, vehicle refuelling, and injection into the gas grid, marking a key step toward large-scale, regional hydrogen deployment.

Hydrogen valleys worldwide are putting the entire value chain into practice. Know-how is building, but fluctuating prices, regulatory uncertainty, and geopolitical tensions are holding back investment - at a time when the technology could soon be ready for the market.
